At Transportes Lasarte, we are honored to have played a key role in one of the most anticipated infrastructure projects of the year in Asturias: the renovation of the historic Emilio Llamedo Olivera Bridge, the iconic gateway to Arriondas over the Sella River.
Our special transport team took on the challenge of moving the five large steel sections that make up the viaduct's new structure. This high-precision logistical challenge required rigorous technical planning due to the massive dimensions of the pieces and the need to guarantee a safe and efficient journey by road.
The new structure, which replaces the old bridge built after the Spanish Civil War, is an impressive 290-ton, 96-meter-long colossus.
The successful, coordinated transport of these structural sections once again highlights Transportes Lasarte's capability and expertise in managing oversized loads for strategic civil engineering projects.
